2013 - What A Year!
Training Holidays
2013 started with six months of triathlon training holidays in the Algarve. Old friends returned and new friends were made during some absolutely brilliant weeks in Portugal. We cannot wait to start again in 2014!New Members of Staff

New Website
Tri Training Harder launched the new website designed and built by Rosanna Hutton, Ed Brett and Paul Snelson, including an improved online holiday booking system. We Introduced Quarteira's Children to Triathlon
The local residents in Quarteira in Portugal welcome us into their community for six months of the year. In March we decided it was time we gave something back and under the instruction of Fiona Hunter Johnston, we held a triathlon for the local school free of charge. Whilst their friends cheered them on, children swam, cycled and ran their way onto the podium! We were so pleased to introduce the sport we love to such a young, enthusiastic audience.
Sponsorship
We are proud to sponsor a number of clubs to ensure the continued growth and success of budding triathletes in their triathlon communities.
We also sponsored seventeen races around the country in 2013 including Stowe Triathlon and events run by Tri Together.
Race Team Success
With athletes racing in World Championships and Ironman events all over the world, following the race team had us all on the edge of our seats in 2013.
In October Tri Training Harder announced our new Race Team. Alongside us, our race team partners; Champion System, The Bosworth Clinic, High5 and HUUB Design support the team.
This year our athletes have ITU World Championships, Ironman World Championships, The Commonwealth Games and the British Super Series in their sights.
Camp Manger Tim Butt suffered two cardiac arrests
A real favourite with clients who have stayed in Portugal with us for a luxury Training Holiday in 2013 was Camp Manger Tim Butt. Tim was an inspirational cyclist who suffered two cardiac arrests when at home in Essex last May. After a long fight Tim is well on the road to being fully recovered. Although we will miss him in Portugal this year, we are thrilled that Tim is back on his bike and raising awareness for CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young).
The ITU World Championships came to London
September saw us set up in London at the expo. Coaches, race team athletes, coached athletes and friends from training holidays battled it out on the iconic London Olympic race course.

Coach Fiona goes to Vegas
2013 saw Fiona race in the Ironman 70.3 World Championships in Las Vegas (12th) alongside race team athlete Harry Eaton (20th).
Ed Brett competed in Kona
On October 13th Ed Brett competed in the Ironamn World Championships in Hawaii. A hard race but a day to remember. Ed maintains he is still recovering!
Chantal Cummings and Fiona Hunter Johnston become Partners of Tri Training Harder
Chantal and Fiona were the companies first employees and have been responsible for making Tri Training Harder into what it is today. Director and owner Ed Brett is taking a step back from the every day running of the business this year but we know the company is in safe hands with these two at the helm alongside Philip.
Launch of the TRIplans
In December Tri Training Harder launched some of the most bespoke training plans on the market, upon which the coaches worked tirelessly for many months.

Partnership with the Bosworth Clinic
2013 also saw the partnership between Tri Training Harder and The Bosworth Clinic. The Bosworth Clinic is a new state of the art facility situated in Cassington, Oxfordshire.
Gordon Bosworth, head track and field physio for Team GB at the London 2012 Olympics, and accomplished Sports therapist Paul Ledger have taken our race team under their wing, providing screening, facilites and treatment to ensure that they can perform to the very best of their ability.
We are very much looking forward to continuing with this partnership into 2014.
Coaching Partners
Lastly, we have already been announced as the official Coaching Partners for the 2014 Triathlon Show, Lisboa Triathlon and once again for Huub Design.
