Kate’s Bio

Kate holds an MSc in Applied Sports Nutrition and is registered on the Sports and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR). She has a particular interest in endurance sports and has experience working with runners, cyclists and triathletes of all ages, levels and abilities. This includes elite-level students at St Mary’s University in Twickenham and multiple GB Age Group triathletes. Kate offers practical, realistic strategies to help athletes strike the right balance between performing their best and enjoying food and life. She will tailor her advice to ensure every athlete is able to build long-term, sustainable habits.

Kate believes that nutrition should go hand-in-hand with training. Fuelling properly helps to maximise training adaptations and ensures effective recovery, meaning that athletes get the most out of every session. Practising and refining race nutrition during training ensures there are no surprises on race day - when it comes to endurance sports, nutrition has a huge impact on performance, so it's important to get it right and make sure all the hard work in training doesn't go to waste.

Kate is a keen runner, cyclist and duathlete and has competed in a wide range of events, including duathlons, marathons, ultra-marathons and single- and multi-day cycling events. She has also raced on multiple occasions as part of the GB Age Group team in the Sprint Duathlon European Championships. This not only gives her experience and insight into the challenges athletes may face during endurance events, she also understands how difficult it can be to improve performance while holding down a busy full-time job and trying to have a social life at the same time. Therefore, she will work with each athlete to find solutions that fit their goals, lifestyle and preferences.
