Will is the secret jewel of the TTH team

Will is the secret jewel of the TTH team and one of the best kept secrets. Being an athlete and married to someone that has an intensive lifestyle, he has a good perspective of the challenges many of us face. He provides coaching that is tailored, supportive and designed to get the best out of you. No matter your challenge or your journey.

James is making me accountable

My ratings are measured as its early days, I'm still learning myself about the process and indeed still prob too early to say if it is improving my fitness in terms of the design of the sessions, but it is making me accountable to getting them done which is great. Also bear in mind I am completely naive to what good looks like... so learning myself how best to judge

I can't possibly begin to adequately explain and convey just how Brilliant Tim has been

I have been a coached athlete with Tim since the autumn of 2021.

Before that, I had completed the odd IRONMAN and half IRONMAN, as well as 2 ultras. All these events I merely aimed to survive on. After being taken on by Tim, he led to the IRONMAN 70.3 world championship qualification and racing the worlds in St. George, Utah. Smashing my PB in 70.3 and Olympic distance triathlon. Smashing my PB in the marathon and half marathon. I also completed sky runs for the first time this year and would not have been able to without Tim's coaching.

Some athletes are easy to coach, they have natural ability and a stable life where they can fit things in. With me, it was the opposite. With a severe autoimmune disease that has caused my spine and hips to start fusing, I am always injured or hurting in some way. Being on immunosuppressants means I'm regularly getting sick and far more unwell than the average person. I've had ups and downs in my relationship (but now soon to be married). I've ended up not just planning on changing careers but made a massive jump in committing to working in the wine industry from a life of working in the NHS. I've balanced a master's degree whilst working a zero-hours contract with shifts coming up and being worked sometimes minutes before leaving.
My point is I have been nothing short of an absolute nightmare to train.

But Tim hasn't just led me to great results. He's helped me keep my head above water by helping me get my training in, arrive at races prepared, and keep my life together.

He hasn't just been an incredible triathlon coach; he's been a mentor and guide, someone I could chat to about training and life frustrations. He would never judge, and he also kept it professional, ensuring I got the right balance of life and, importantly, what I live for, which is my sport and physical activity.

I didn't want to end my coaching contract, but sadly, I'm at a point in my career change where training won't really be possible. I'm certainly hoping to come back in the future, and I know which coach I will be returning to.

I can't possibly begin to adequately explain and convey just how brilliant Tim has been and how much it has meant to me to be a coached athlete of his. Unlike many on the TTH roster, I was never going to be a top-three triathlete, but I have no doubt Tim made me the best athlete and person I could be.

It has been an absolute honour

I am tremendously pleased with Tim as a coach, and would recommend him without reservation for anyone interested in individual coaching!

I wanted to take a moment to reach out to let you know how much I have appreciated working with Tim for the past 8 months!  Tim has been really effective in getting me to the finish line with IM Maryland, in which I was able to reach some personal goals and pr's!  Tim was extremely supportive, flexible, patient and gracious with me throughout the journey, culminating with IM Maryland.  Most importantly, the training plan that he put together was spot on and I was truly amazed at how well prepared I was for IM Maryland, physically, as well as from the strategic standpoint.  The plans were really well thought...it was obvious to me that he was invested in creating a plan for me...which he tweaked along the way to meet my needs.  Finally, I am in terrific shape post race, and am now working with Tim on training for an upcoming half marathon.

In sum, I am tremendously pleased with Tim as a coach, and would recommend him without reservation for anyone interested in individual coaching!

Rhi has been great for the past couple of months

Rhi has been great for the past couple of months. She outlined what turned out to be a near perfect race plan for a 70.3 which I managed to follow to the letter and consequently had a great day, finishing with a PB half marathon which has really boosted my confidence - she knows my ability and potential better than I do! Following the race I unfortunately contracted covid but Rhi was great, highlighting how important recovery and rest were going to be initially and then planned a structured but flexible return to training plan for me to follow.

Alan has been both knowledgeable and supportive during this past year of working with me

Alan has been both knowledgeable and supportive during this past year of working with me. There have been challenges to work around but the changes in my programme have continued to yield progress. I enjoy our meeting times and have gained insights and motivation from Alan’s observations. I feel our relationship is collaborative and I appreciate the opportunity to discuss a new approach or change a training modality.

I recently had the opportunity to do a training ride/recon with Alan was I was in the UK

I recently had the opportunity to do a training ride/recon with Alan was I was in the UK. The experience was so eye opening on so many levels. Alan does a great job with on the spot feedback. He is precise with his instruction and made me feel supported and confident in my skills. Alan gave me constructive cues that I was able to apply and tools to utilize going forward. Very grateful for Alan's expertise.

Thanks to the guidance of Jon at TTH

Thanks to the guidance of Jon at TTH I have had a great year developing in triathlon, completing my first Ironman! There has been a lot of training to get done but the programme has always been flexible and readily tweaked to fit into my life. Having a coach is likely the sole reason I haven’t had any injury issues on this journey

Triatlhon training that will feed your soul.

TTH helped me with a greater sense of purpose for my triathlon training. "There’s no better way to boost fitness, learn stuff and meet like-minded people than by going to a training camp”. This is spot on with TTH. TTH camp is a semi-structured group training sessions, as they will adapt to your needs. I always had at least one coach with me even when I was really literally on the back of the pack. I really enjoyed the very high level of TTH coaching skills. I learned a lot of theory but not so much that I can’t remember it and the practical aspect was also great especially the drills for running and swimming. I learned more about how to set up the bike and use the gears in one week than I have in years on my own! I learned to how to quick remove your swimsuit and do not lose your googles. The TTH camp provided me with a fantastic opportunity to meet other athletes while being exposed to a different training stimulus and coaches, and, of course, pack in some kms within amazing surroundings. As the long ride goes, due to a persistent injury from a bike fall, Me, a coach and another athlete experienced an epic sunrise in the hills of Algarve. There are different rides paths that accommodate everyone’s training needs and capabilities. My main goal was technique improvements in running. This was check, including with a better understanding what I need to do with my running, adding swimming as a bonus. I will sign for another as soon as personal logistics with small kids are in my favor again and injury free this time. Just one tip: Bring enough gels!
