In this episode, we will listen to the Coaches on the Couch from the 25th of January where Coaches Philip, Jon and Kevin discussed why would you spend five hours on the turbo and how can you actually do it.
At this point in the season, a lot of athletes like to spend more time doing turbo sessions, but often these are out of convenience or to fit a quick session in. How can you use the turbo for the longer efforts? You don’t need to be someone looking to do an IRONMAN, 45-minutes may be a long time on the trainer for you – even then, there will be some tips and hints for you to move that to 60 minutes or more. This episode will be useful for all athletes – why not listen to it while you do one of your indoor sessions? (We did ask the coaches to do it at the end of a 5-hour ride, but they weren’t so sure…something about sound quality!
