At Tri Training Harder we believe in delivering a complete and holistic package of coaching and we recognise that coaching is a partnership with not only the athlete but also all the people involved with their training to deliver a succinct and aligned plan for the athlete. For that reason, we have developed our coaching Add Ons which bring together our experience of working as part of an Integrated Support Team with our race team athletes to all our athletes.

The level of depth and understanding and influence you can benefit from by working alongside all these professionals and therefore the number of strategic performance gains we can make in the obvious and also the not so obvious methods are truly immense. It is for this reason that our race team wanted this package in their training arsenal over and above fancy, shiny, material sponsorship options as they knew they had some of the world’s best in their field supporting every decision that was made.

The athlete is the critical component of any training programme and that is why we are looking at giving the athlete the best opportunity to thrive for their results.

This would consist of an "on call" physiotherapist to help answer any worries, niggles or possible reactive injuries you may pick up throughout the season. You can touch base with a qualified physiotherapist to ensure you proceed in the right direction without waiting several days to see a local physio and take time out of your busy schedule. This personal service would ensure that you aren't going to 'make things worse' or that there is a set of exercises you can follow to improve your situation. It is common for athletes to frequently have niggles or issues, so by offering quick access to professional advice and direction without the overheads of time or money can put both the athlete and coaches mind at ease.

This would link in with your training programme and phases to provide you with you specific exercises and movements to develop your limiters and also mean your training stresses are manageable throughout the season. Ideally you shouldn't get any injuries! The best way to improve your technique, power and reduce chance of injury is through strength and conditioning work. Doing specific exercises and movements will help to improve your performance through training consistency and efficiency. In our experience most people just “train”. When you have a correct and proper strength and conditioning routine set up to develop performance, you can change exercising into training.

Nutritional support is integrated with your training programme, phase, race calendar and Training Peaks to allow for the nutritional support and training to work seamlessly throughout your year. Nutrition in a race is underlined by the daily diet in other words, race day nutrition begins on day one of the training programme (or even before). The correct nutrition can also lower the risk of injury and support faster recovery from injury, aches or pains. Getting your nutrition correct for the training and lifestyle you want to lead is a huge part of improving your performance not just in sport, but in all areas of your life.
